The Parent Portal is a website, designed for phones, where parents see their children’s attendance and marks, the school’s messages and their school fees account.
What it does for your school
Children and results
A card for each child with their grade, class, teacher, and days absent and late this term. Tap a card to see this term’s marks.
School fees account
The balance, the last three months’ transactions, and the next debit order date. Payments show as soon as the school captures them.
Messages from school
Every email and SMS the school sent about their children this term, with new messages marked.
How it works
- Switch the portal on in ScholaSys and add your school logo.
- ScholaSys emails an invitation to every father, mother and guardian the next morning.
- Parents set their own password from the link in the email. Nobody has to register.
- Parents sign in at portal.scholasys.co.za and stay signed in on their phone.
Good to know
- The portal is read-only: parents can look, but can’t change anything.
- Notes and comments captured by staff are never shown.
- Parents with children at more than one ScholaSys school see all their children in one place.
- Only parents who receive the school’s financial documents see the fees account.
- Parents can book parent-teacher meetings and open the school forum from the portal.
- Works in any browser, in light or dark mode, and can be added to a phone’s home screen.
Questions schools ask
Do parents need to download an app?
No. The Parent Portal is a website designed for phones, at portal.scholasys.co.za. Parents can add it to their home screen.
Can parents change their details on the portal?
No. The portal is read-only. Parents contact the school to update their details.
Which parents can use the portal?
Fathers, mothers and guardians with an email address on record, while at least one of their children is a current student.
