ScholaSys · Attendance, Marks and Report Cards
Registers, marks and report cards, without the paperwork
Teachers capture attendance and marks in ScholaSys. The office sees what is still outstanding, and term report cards go to parents by email or print in one PDF.
What it does for your school
Weekly registers
Teachers mark each child Present, Late, Absent or Sick for every school day of the week. Days in the past that are still blank are highlighted.
Marks with weighting
Subjects are split into categories, such as tests and exams, each with its own weight. ScholaSys works out the percentages, and leaves out work a child was absent for.
Know what’s outstanding
The Education Overview shows how complete attendance and marking are per grade, subject and term, with a list of exactly what still needs capturing.
How it works
- Set up each grade’s subjects, categories and assignments for the term, or copy them from a previous term.
- Teachers capture attendance once a week for their class.
- Teachers capture marks for each assignment, or mark a child absent.
- At the end of term, email report cards to parents, or download a whole grade’s report cards as one PDF to print.
Good to know
- Only school days inside your terms count. Weekends and holidays are never flagged as missing.
- Teachers can add private notes to attendance and marks. They are only visible to staff.
- Parents see attendance totals and marks on the Parent Portal as soon as teachers capture them.
- Report card layouts can be changed to suit your school.
Questions schools ask
Can parents see marks before the report card?
Yes. When the Parent Portal is switched on, parents see each assignment’s mark as soon as the teacher captures it.
Do teachers’ comments appear on the Parent Portal?
No. Notes and comments captured by staff are never shown to parents on the portal.
How often is attendance captured?
Once a week per class, with a status for each school day.
